Dear colleagues,

It has been a busy time at the BAC office.  Our Student Welfare and Satisfaction seminar took place on 18 April 2012, and was fully booked.  Enthusiastic presenters and delegates alike made the event a success – a full report is available on the event page, and accredited colleges are able to obtain the handouts from the downloads area of the college gateway.

Planning for the next seminar is already underway.  Although we have yet to confirm the exact date, we expect to hold it in the second half of June.  The seminar will focus on quality assurance and will be a half-day event held twice on the same day, with the option of attending either the morning or the afternoon session.  More information will be posted as it becomes available – please check our events page regularly.

I’m very pleased to announce that we have launched the BAC Twitter account.  We will be tweeting news about BAC, our colleges and the private sector in general, so please do follow us @BAC_Education.

Finally, it won’t have escaped notice that the London Olympics fast approach!  I’m sure that you will have been considering your own contingency planning for this period.  BAC has been doing the same and, after careful consideration, we have decided to close our London office from Monday 30 July to Friday 10 August.  The office will re-open on Monday 13 August.  Urgent phone calls and emails will be dealt with remotely through this period – further detail will be made available as the Games approach.
