      Dear Issam,

      Thank you for your email.

We can confirm that SBS – Swiss Business School (in Switzerland only), is accredited by the British Accreditation Council (BAC), and therefore they are considered to be a legitimate organisation. As mentioned, BAC only accredits SBS in Switzerland.

BAC accreditation is a kite mark for quality assurance for the whole institution.

BAC inspects the whole of the organisation rather than the individual courses offered. BAC looks at the following aspects of a provider:
      • Governance, Strategy and Financial Management
      • Academic Management and Administration
      • Teaching, Learning and Assessment
      • Student Recruitment, Support Guidance and Progression
      • Premises, Facilities and Learning Resources
      • Quality Management, Assurance and Enhancement.

While we don’t look at the content of the programmes, BAC looks into whether the provider’s staff has the knowledge, experience and qualification to deliver the courses and that they offer a good standard of teaching.

Our accreditation enables all external stakeholders to be assured that the provider offers a safe, secure, high quality learning environment. In addition, our accreditation helps providers in the UK and across the world to develop, which in turns helps improve tertiary education and training globally.

For the providers, holding our accreditation means that they are recognised by an internationally known organisation, have access to the team’s specialised knowledge and experience and have the evidence to show they are a reliable partner when building partnerships.

For additional reassurance regarding the qualification/degree, you could try contacting UK NARIC: this is the recognised organisation in the UK which compares international qualifications to UK ones, and also confirms which international institutions are recognised. Their website is http://www.naric.org.uk Their telephone number is +44 (0) 871 330 7033 and their correspondence address is: UK NARIC, Suffolk House, 68-70 Suffolk Road, Cheltenham GL50 2ED

Please let us know if there is anything else we can help you with.

      Regards
      BAC
