Curriculum
The College offers an undergraduate Bachelor of Laws programme (LL.B), that includes both core and elective courses. The College has also introduced two Masters level courses in Private and Public Law. At undergraduate level the College has introduced experiential legal studies to complement its academic courses, recognising that it will be beneficial for graduates to possess a range of lawyerly skills when leaving the university. The innovative Law Clinic permits students to deal with ‘real life’ cases involving controversial topics such as child abduction and people trafficking. The College has taken the lead in setting up a network of law clinics across the Arab region. In addition to clinical legal education, students have access to courses on legal research and writing. They may take part in discussion groups (moots) and it is mandatory for all students to participate in the College’s Externship programme, that places students in local organisations in order for them to experience the world of work.
