BAC Educational Consulting Open Day - 30 November 2011

On 30 November BAC Educational Consulting held an open day for colleges, where delegates could come and meet some of BAC’s consultants at an open, informative event.

The aim of the day was to provide more information about BAC’s new consultancy services and give colleges the opportunity to seek advice from the experts and have some of their urgent questions answered.

The programme began with an introduction from Sheila Needham, BAC’s Head of Professional Services, who gave an update on the sector in the aftermath of the changes to Tier 4 and the options for consultancy as a way forward to achieving Educational Oversight.

This was followed by talks from two of BAC’s consultants and resident experts on QAA and ISI Educational Oversight procedures. Then Steve Bristow, Senior Advisor (Quality Assurance and Governance), rounded off with a presentation on business diversification, focusing on adapting a business model for new markets, such as local students.

After the morning presentations, delegates had the opportunity to speak personally to different consultants over coffee and pastries. Educational Oversight specialists were present, as well as general HE and FE experts.

The day was a great success and delegates who attended gave feedback that they had found the event extremely useful and enlightening.
