In the occasion of the four day visit to London, UK, on November 30, 2015, the delegation of Epoka University presided by the Rector, Prof. Dr. Gungor Turan, held a meeting with the British Accreditation Council (BAC).
BAC, a full member of European Network of Quality Assurance (ENQA), was established in 1984, initially as a national accreditation authority for higher education in UK. Since 2000, BAC has also accredited education and training providers operating outside the UK.
During the said meeting, quality inspector Mr. Ian Fleming, presented a summary of the key points on the Higher Education Code of Governance, with particular focus on the one implemented by UK universities and its potential relevance to Epoka University`s context.
Later on, the Chief Executive of BAC, Mr. Paul Fear, presented the services managed by the Council in terms of quality assurance and development and accreditation, highlighting especially the variety of good practices they have had abroad.
